We are excited to welcome Ms. Sara Placid, a fellow member of the Gator Nation to the FLA team! 

Ms. Placid, CPA, brings elite experience from the world of international finance and client relations to FLA.  At FLA we take white glove customer service and, Design Planning and Management Strategies, seriously.  FLA is thrilled to be able to integrate Ms. Placid's talents and expertise to help uphold these standards of excellence. 

​In addition to her business acumen, Ms. Placid has an innately creative eye coupled with a refined palate honed in a manner only available to those with years of experiences traveling the world.

We are excited to welcome Ms. Rachel Placid, a fellow member of the Gator Nation to the FLA team! 

Regarding the way persons with mobility and neurological challenges engage the built environment Ms. Placid a registered nurse with experience caring for specialized populations, holds a robust academic understanding and real world expertise in this area of study.

At FLA, an architectural practice in a community with an average age of 65, seamless integration of the principles of Universal Design is an important organizing framework used by our design team to analyse all decisions.  Additionally, it has been an acute topic of interest to Principal Architect Mrs. Orion throughout the entirety of her career.  

FLA is thrilled to be able to integrate Ms. Placid's talents and expertise as we work towards the development of the gold 'Neapolitan' standard for the integration of Universal Design principles into the custom residential architectural typology.

We are excited to welcome Ms. Jenna Ims, a fellow member of the Gator Nation to the FLA team! 

Congratulations to Ms. Ims for earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Florida School of Architecture this spring!  In addition to the outstanding work Ms. Ims does for us here at FLA, she is also currently in pursuit of her Masters of Architecture degree at UF where she holds a leadership position as a graduate teaching assistant.

With an entrepreneurial spirit and natural talent for the craft, Ms. Ims is an up-and-coming star in the word of architecture. We are continually impressed with her standards of design excellence and are excited for the impact she will have on our profession.  FLA is thrilled to be able to integrate Ms. Ims's talents and expertise as she works with ambition towards the elite goal of Architectural Licensure.

Mrs. Orion and Licensed Interior Designer Mr. Paul Cooper love seeing the team's hard work come together on install day, which is always a fun and exciting time! 

Both active members in the SWFL design community, Mrs. Orion and Mr. Cooper have collaborated in academia, as professional colleagues, and in their shared passion for volunteerism.

​From Sarasota to Naples their friendship spans for over a decade and subsequently Mr. Cooper and Mrs. Orion have developed a shorthand and ease of working that helps projects run smoothly from start, to install day.

Mrs. Orion is thrilled to be able to integrate Mr. Cooper's talents and expertise with hers for a combined 37 years of professional practice.

​Becoming a registered architect in the state of Florida is not for the faint of heart!  After undergraduate studies,  graduate studies, architectural residency, and 6 state licensing exams, Mrs. Orion proudly got to check 'this' box off of her to do list after passing the last licensing exam, this afternoon!
